'Dear President Obama: We recorded an original song just for you: 'President Obama Gives Us Hope In Our Heart!' It expresses everything we feel about you - how you will bring change to this country and how you inspire us! We are from Girls Incorporated of Omaha, Nebraska. A friend of ours, Karen Sokolof Javitch, wrote the song and helped us record it!
Someday we will tell our children and our grandchildren how proud we were that we sang a song for the first African-American President of the United States - President Barack Obama! We would love to sing our song for you in person! Then we'd make history too!
We hope we can get our song to you and that you will play it for Sasha and Malia! We are just a little older than they are and we know how lucky they are to have you for their father!
